Where does this game take place? Where can we log, what can we do?

Short answer: Tokyo.

Long answer: All the kids attend a prestigious school for rich kids. (see below for information about adults and younger kids.) However, logging is not limited to the school environment. You're even welcome to take your characters on a trip somewhere-- in the world of the wealthy and aristocratic, private jets and helicopters are no problem what-so-ever! Use your imagination~! (But do keep it in the realm of the physically possible!)

On the topic of where you can log, is what: you're also welcome to create events-- parties, balls, you can even bring the fair to town! All that we ask is that if you decide to do something, such as a once-a-year convention or a "one-time-thing" is just alert the mods. This isn't so much for approval, so much as it is so that we know and we don't have the once-a-year sci-fi convention happening every other month. Birthdays, parties hosted by families, or anything else that's fun but relatively inconsequential is fair game!

So what's the school year like?

The school year starts in the spring, early in April, and ends some time around mid-March of the next year. There are various holidays throughout the year and no such thing as "summer vacation" as Americans would know it. School goes from 7AM to about 3PM or so, and most students in Japan have a club they attend, usually until around 5 o' clock. Usually in Japan, students also go to school for a half day on Saturday and have club afterwards. For this game's purpose's, we'll say they have the full weekend off.

In the Imperial Palace, are all of the character princes and princess now? Or are they different?

Sadly, not everyone can be a princess ~~(sorry Neji.)~~ or prince. Royalty includes the Hyuugas, Namikazes, Uchihas, and Sarutobis, while lesser royalty includes the Aburames, Akimichis, Inuzukas, Naras and Yamanakas. If you would like to make a character royalty or lesser royalty, don't hesitate to contact a mod to discuss the possibility! Everything else-- nobles, commoners, slaves, heirs, etc., is fair game.

As for Tsunade, Gaara, and Orochimaru specifically, Tsunade is the current Empress of Japan. Orochimaru and Gaara are up to the player's choice, but should be on par with Tsunade; however, the country can only have one supreme ruler, eh~?

What are they entitled to? Islands? Cities?

Those who are related to the Hokage have a large hold in Japan and control the largest/most populated of the prefectures. Those who are of royalty may control lesser prefectures, although please ask a mod before claiming one for your character's family. Everyone else is entitled to a business that has made them noble or a small business that has made them common, that is your choice. Nobles may have some stake a district or large city. Everyone else it welcome to some sort of enterprise-- e.g., a business or other claim to fame-- or absolutely nothing at all, if you like!

Where would this community be up to, in terms of the Naruto storyline?

Characters should be picked up just prior to the Madara revelation; however, certain characters considered dead will either never have died

Does that mean you can pick up characters who have died before the start of the series?

To make the story as canon as possible, I heavily advise not to pick them up as it ruins other characters. Unless you have talked to the other characters and myself, I will have to say no to those characters. Characters such as the Uchiha parents, the Sand Siblings mother, Naruto's parents; they can not be picked up unless stated otherwise. Characters like Asuma or Hidan, however, are fair game. Important note: Special considerations will be made, depending on the players wishes. For example, if Itachi and Sasuke would like their parents to be alive, then we'll allow it, as it's been shown to work just fine at other games before.

What is the difference for the characters that are in Akatsuki?

The Akatsuki is said to be a group of men and women that have run away from their respective kingdoms to join this group. Like in Naruto they plan to overtake the other kingdoms but instead of tailed beasts, they plan to kidnap certain members that are fundamental within the kingdom. They are notorious and criminal, and have strong ties to organized crime, but with their past statuses and current fortunes, no one is courageous enough to enforce the law on them. Therefore they are still able to attend various important events and contribute to the palace to their satisfaction.

What about the older characters?

Characters who are older than eighteen all have a spot in Tokyo University, regardless of how hard they work that spot was already reserved for them since they were born. So characters that are at the age to go to university will attend Tokyo University, whereas the adults will have already inherited a large business to their name or their kingdom already.

What about the younger characters? Those who are younger than sixteen-seventeen?

They still attended the same school as the other kids, which is a private academy. And nothing is dramatically different for them.

If my character does not have a last name in the series, will it be possible to make on up?

Simply: yes.

Here's how a challenge works:
- One person puts in a reserve and has a date set for it to expire.
- A second person challenges the reserve.
- The second person has until the end of the first person's expiration date (including any extensions the first person may have asked for.)
- IF both get their applications in, then both apps will go up for vote by existing members of the community. This is to eliminate any accusations of mod bias and to ensure that members are satisfied with the choice.

1. No Godmodding

Besides myself, not one of you have the right to 'God-mod'. Godmodding is controlling another characters player for them. When in doubt, please ask first.

2. Spelling and Grammar

Please try to use correct spelling and grammar. That's all. There's a built in spellcheck on LiveJournal, and let's face the facts, we're not going to let anyone in who comes to use with atrocious butcherings of the English language. That said, we do welcome those

3. Constant Activity

Try to update your character journal once a month, and be in some way, shape or form active on a weekly basis. (That's even just one comment or one log or one post or one any sign of life.)

4. Keeping In Character

Being in an alternate universe, there's a lot of room for character growth, but we act that you try to stay some semblance of in-character. No jock Shikamaru or manwhore Gaara.

5. Open to All Pairings

That said, we are open to all pairings; however, try to realistic. If it takes you 6 or 7 logs to get characters to know each other well enough? Wonderful! But try to keep the "love at first sight" to a minimum and don't push your pet pairing on other people.

6. Ratings

While adult-themed logs are allowed, please friendslock them when posting to the community, and try to think before you smut: do we really need to RP this out and show everyone?

7. Character Limit

For now, the character limit will be 3 characters per mun.

8. Out of Character Drama

Drama is last because it's the biggest no-no. Just don't do it. That said, if you have a problem with another player first, try to talk it out with them. Often times, problems are merely misunderstandings. Only come to the mods if the problem cannot be resolved between the two of you. We'll hear both sides and try to help players come to an agreeable decision.
